We achieved a monumental milestone! H.B. 287: Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations Act was introduced in the Georgia General Assembly on February 7, 2023. Sponsored by Representatives Mandisha Thomas, Pedro Marin and Kim Schofield, the bill creates a pathway to work with health departments to shape the regulatory framework to legalize “Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations” in the state of Georgia by

 

  • Creating and issuing Microenterprise Home Kitchen permits

  • Charging fees for issuing permits and inspecting premises

  • Conducting annual inspections of Microenterprise Home Kitchens
